The burden of tuberculosis; measuring uncertainty

Abstract

National TB programmes are viewed in light of their efforts to reduce the incidence of tuberculosis and tuberculosis-related mortality. But how are these important indices measured? How certain are the published estimates? The presentation highlights some common measurement approaches with a specific focus on East European countries.
